A special and very lovely antique brooch dating to the mid Victorian era and typical of Sentimental jewels worn at that time. A pretty floral shape in a Rococo style with shaped Gold border and exquisite Royal Blue enamelling framing an oval of wild Seed Pearls around the central glassed locket, this piece would likely have been gifted as a token of love or esteem and very oft they hold plaited sections of hair. All in 15ct Gold, it weighs 12.56 grams (including the small piece of glass). It measures 4cm by 3cm and fastens with a classic 'C' clasp.
